I am no where near retirement but I found this book to be a special way to understand my parents psyche when adjusting to retirement. The writing is funny, brash and most importantly, honest. I really enjoyed this fast read of Mr. McMullan's humorous narrative about his experiences on moving and retiring to Florida. One time I was reading this book in a waiting room, I found myself laughing out loud which proved to be a little embarrassing.
I especially liked the chapters relating to dining out and learning new technology. My husband and I thought we were the only ones who had these encounters and feelings.
I recommend this book to all my fellow retirees in Florida to have a good laugh and to realize we are not alone in our thinking.
