Another vampire book you say? I've been reluctant to read another one but am very glad I chose Eversong because it's part vampire/paranormal, part mystery/thriller. I haven't read any of the other books in the Midnight Playground series, but this one has piqued my interest.
The opening plunges you right into the story. Mercy, who was changed against her will, sits on a beach in Spain and feels all alone but spots Deo. It's set in the future which I felt gave it a different twist to the ones in an historical setting. All three characters are sexy. Deo and Mercy seem ideally matched when Ever enters into the picture and things really heat up.
The first part of the book is hot and steamy and there are plenty of sex scenes, but then the book takes on its thriller, mystery element. By then you've got a vested interest in these characters. Lives are in danger and the vampire responsible for turning Mercy comes on the scene and nothing is the same.
The pacing is snappy -- you'll be able to read this in one sitting -- and the dialogue is natural sounding.
If you've been wondering if you should try yet another vampire tale, this might be the one you've been waiting for. Pick up a copy of Eversong for the heat and the excitement. I don't think it will disappoint you.

Eversong was a great read. Gave me what I was wanting to know about Ever and he finally finds happiness. Still as hot as the others, I am sad that it's over. This book did not dissappoint.
They had sex, slot of sex but it's boring. A boring threesome, I never would have thought that was possible. The author did not capture love,passion or heat between the main characters. Nor did the author explain the pull Mercy had with Gaius. I could over look all that if the love sex had been hot but there not.
I got thru it, but it was not one of my favorites. Not much into the vampire thing, but it was okay.
If you like variety in sex and different scenes of lovemaking and kink, this book is for you! Very interesting book!
I had read their books by this author and loved them but for some reason I really didn't enjoy this one. Nthe story and the characters lacked the depth I was looking for
THIS IS NOT FOR ANYONE UNDER 18. Erotica getting close to the edge, but if you know this is just a story it's pretty good. It makes me a little uncomfortable, but it's still sensual. It seemed the ending was rushed though.
